Dad's Day

Joel only had a few Father's Day requests--
to be able to sleep in
(to the oh-so-late hour of 9:30am),
relax, and have his friend Aaron
over for dinner and to watch
the Game of Thrones finale.
We made his dreams come true...
...cause we're pretty good at relaxing,
and hanging out at home with these little goobers.
I guess Daddy gets to dress the baby
on Father's Day.
The family band got back together!
Mila decorated this cake for Daddy.
She said the yellow was mustard
and the red was Sriracha.
She knows what her Daddy likes.
We also know what Aaron
(otherwise known as Uncle Phlow)
likes too...
Here she is helping Mommy
make Aaron's favorite--
baked brie in puff pastry
with honey roasted Macadamia nuts
and blueberry-lavendar jam.
Hope you had a great Father's Day, Daddy!
You sure deserve it.

Trouble At Ten Months

Willow turned ten whole months on the 8th.
We put this cute little t-shirt
on hoping for a nice photo op...
By the time Mom got to it,
Billie was a mess,
which is pretty fitting for her these days.
She is literally in to everything!
Keeping up with big sister has meant
she climbed up our stairs about 6 weeks
earlier than Mila did.
She can also walk behind a push toy.
Her adventurous spirit has gotten her into some trouble...
she took a bad fall two weeks ago
and really scratched up her sweet face.
We felt TERRIBLE...
...but she remained her happy self.
The good news is she healed super quickly.
The other good news?
We get to watch this
beauty grow a little more each day.
